I think the Vapor
unit is an ideal budget choice for the Rocket, but I
did have
2 major issues with
it. Firstly the Speed went haywire after 50mph and the
Tacho was highly unstable. The speed issue was resolved by
running a length of screened mic cable, it seems that
interference from the cars loom was causing incorrect readings,
the RPM issue was resolved by adding a 39K resistor in
to the rpm wire running to the vapor, I crimped the resistor
in between a couple of connectors so that it could be
easily changed in the future if needs be.
