I have been contacted
by a chap named Richard who is a producer
for some ITV shows.
He wanted to know if I would be interested in appearing
as a feature on the tv show Pulling Power
due to be broadcast in October. After a few seconds
of thought passed by, I agreed to this as being
a good idea and we arranged an
initial meeting at my house in Shropshire. He came
up, we
had a cup of tea and a chat about the show and
it was agreed that something could be done.
I was then contacted by Alex, I presume his PA from
the production company team and we arranged a time
that would be
suitable
for the
filming. The 25th of July was the date and we hoped
that the weather would be in our favor,
which of couse as it happened was not.
The production team arrived at about 9am on the wednesday
morning, followed by the presenter Mike Brewer,
known well from Pulling Power and other car
related
programs like Driven.
The day certainly had its wet and dry moments causing
all sorts of havoc for the team, but I have to say
they were all very professional and considering the
pressure they were under, having a good laugh was
a big part of their day. If only every day could
be like this one.
I will post the transmission/ air
times here, when they are confirmed.
Apparently the episode I am in will be aired
from the 4th October 2007 on IVT1 & ITV4
for 1 week.
Update
!! The air date has now been moved to the 11th October.

Brewer talking to me about the Viper.
He could have been a stand up comedian.

I
think in this picture we were chatting
about the starting procedure. Multiple
takes were filmed, to cover every angle. From
the right we have me, Mike, Nick and
Richard.

Down to the airfield
and the rain comes in heavily, time taken
out to discuss film angles.

What
a pro, Nick sat in the boot of Mike's specially
modified Mondeo film car. |

A
sequence on the C5, I have to say the
film crew did very well to put up with
me, Its a massive understatement to
say that I am very poor in front of
a camera.

I guess he enjoyed that first run! |

I can fly, a happy looking Mike. |

On TV as promised. |
